Automatic Washers & Dryers

Here is the owners manual to Philco's very first automatic washer and dryer. This machine is an agitator model before high frequency agitator design came out. This design was produced from 1955 thru 1958. The manual covers both the washers (models W-264, W-266, W-268) and the dryers (models DE-364, DE-366, DN-366 and DL-366).

Here is a very useful document, especially for Maytag collectors, it is a parts identification manual published originally in '66, but has some updates all the way to '77. This guide shows major washer, dryer, combo and wringer parts and information. Sections include: [I]Automatic, Dryer, Combination and Wringer Washer Serial No. Code[/I] This is one of the best sections of the manual, it shows how to tell the exact month your automatic washer, dryer, wringer or combo was made from 1949 thru 1977 via the serial number! Comprehensive service manual for Frigidaire's Skinny-Mini stacked Laundry Center. Complete descriptions of the "Agi-tub" washer and dryer, specificaions, how the machine operates and how to service all components in both the washer and the dryer sections.

This brochure is particularly interesting because it shows off Magic Chef washers and dryers that were made by Norge. In 1988 they were still using the orignal 20lb perforated tub design that was first introduced in 1964. This is one of the last years of this design before some major design changes happened at Norge. Brochure has complete images, specifications and control panel views for each model.
