Welcome to Automatic Ephemera, a library for historical research and education, sharing public domain documents relating to vintage products for the home. You are viewing the low-resolution preview, high-resoultion versions are also available for most documents. The scanning of all high-resolution documents is done at 300dpi with the utmost diligence and care to produce high quality .pdf files which have text search capabilities built-in to bring modern convenience to vintage printed materials. The high resolution also allows for close-up examination of all images on your computer monitor and in many cases makes reading the text easier than the original document. Quality printers can print these documents nearly identically to the original document. Maintaining a library as such is a time consuming and expensive venture, all materials have a small download fee to offset the library's many expenses. In order to read these documents you need Adobe Reader 7 or greater installed on your computer. Click here for samples of the Documents in our library.

CHANNEL SELECTOR SWITCH

OFF-ON SWITCH VOLUME CONTROL

PANEL CONTROLS

The panel controls on your new Zenith are identified above (Fig. 1). It will be noted that an illuminated channel indicator has been provided for the Station Selector Switch for added ease in operating the receiver. The function of the controls are discussed in the following paragraphs.

STATION SELECTOR SWITCH

By a simple twist of this switch a television station operating on any one of the twelve commercial channels in your area may be tuned in. As you rotate the knob it will click sharply into each channel position and the number of the channel tuned in will appear in the indicator located just above the knob. In setting this control make sure that it is set on the correct channels for reception of local stations as it is somtimes possible to obtain a picture, though of poor quality and without sound, on the channels immediately below those on which the stations are actually assigned.

To aid you in developing your knowledge as to the various television stations operating in your television area and their correct channel numbers, a station log has been printed on the back cover of this booklet. You can fill it in by referring to the television program section of your newspaper (most television area newspapers now print such a program schedule) or you ask your Zenith dealer to do so for you.
