Welcome to Automatic Ephemera, a library for historical research and education, sharing public domain documents relating to vintage products for the home. You are viewing the low-resolution preview, high-resoultion versions are also available for most documents. The scanning of all high-resolution documents is done at 300dpi with the utmost diligence and care to produce high quality .pdf files which have text search capabilities built-in to bring modern convenience to vintage printed materials. The high resolution also allows for close-up examination of all images on your computer monitor and in many cases makes reading the text easier than the original document. Quality printers can print these documents nearly identically to the original document. Maintaining a library as such is a time consuming and expensive venture, all materials have a small download fee to offset the library's many expenses. In order to read these documents you need Adobe Reader 7 or greater installed on your computer. Click here for samples of the Documents in our library.

Automated Summary of Text on this Page:
• VERTICAL HOLD RANGE CONTROL

An auxiliary control to be adjusted for center range operation of the Vertical Hold Control.

• BULLS EYE AUTOMATIC TUNING ADJUSTMENT.

Reduce signal input into receiver until sound and picture are barely per-ceptable. (This can be accomplished by loosely coupling a short length of 300 ohm line connected to antenna terminals of receiver to the antenna lead-in.) Set the FINE TUNING control for clearest sound and best picture on channel 7 or if no station is operating on this channel use the highest operating channel. This position should be at the midway point of the FINE TUNING control range. Then without further readjustment of the FINE TUNING control check to see that other stations come in correctly tuned.

If adjustment is necessary on other stations (allow approximately 30 seconds for local oscillator to warm-up on each channel) it is to be made with the built-in CHANNEL OSCILLATOR ADJUSTMENT WRENCH. This wrench must be pushed in to engage oscillator slug.

• SOUND ADJUSTMENTS.
If some "Buzz" is apparent adjust BUZZ CONTROL for minimum "Buzz" and, if necessary, QUADRATURE and TAKE-OFF COILS for best quality sound. QUADRATURE and TAKE-OFF COIL adjustments must be made on an attenuated signal.

• A.G.C. DELAY ADJUSTMENT.
This control is set at the factory for operation of the receiver in normal metropolitan areas. In fringe areas this control is to be adjusted for best sync and most noise-free picture at site of installation.
